"The Chicken Feather Letter," part of the Dream China-themed animation series backed by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television for the 70th anniversary of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and World Anti-Fascist War, was produced by Jiangsu TV Station and jointly developed by Joy Cartoon Satellite Channel and Jiangsu Guangming Cinema Animation Media Co., Ltd., making its debut on August 25, 2015, on Jiangsu Satellite TV and Joy Cartoon Satellite Channel. Centered around ten-year-old city boy Chen Yuxuan joining an immersive reality competition where he lives in a Hebei revolution-era village, Chen faces difficulties fulfilling the producers’ assignments due to his prideful and lazy nature. One day, he discovers a chicken feather letter left behind by Old Grandfather Zhao. Through storytelling, Old Grandfather Zhao recounts how these letters were delivered during wartime resistance activities. Both characters—modern youth Chen Yuxuan and elderly messenger Zhao Haiwa—evolve over time through their respective life paths, intersecting across generations as they develop into conscientious teenagers.。
